Is it true??!?!?!!..50 Cent shut down WSHH, for promote a simiral site named BooBooTV?!?!?!..

Earlier today, fans of Worldstarhiphop freaked out, and detractors celebrated when the site’s normal load of “sponsored” rap videos, pregnant hooker fights, and dubious viewcounts did not show up as normal. Soon afterwards, 50 Cent claimed responsibility

But soon afterwards, he came clean with a call-in to Angie Martinez….

Audio:
50 Cent talks to Angie Martinez, Hot97….about the current site problems of Worldstar Hip Hop, and admits that contrary to his twitter-boasts, he didn’t actually shut down WSHH. But he does explain the tension between him and Worldstar is caused by an ongoing lawsuit. Fif says WSHH used his likeness on their site banner without permission and he thinks they promote negativity….which he says he’s no longer a fan of.
UPDATE: Q the owner of Worldstar also called in to respond to 50 Cent, and told Angie that the site’s problem has nothing to do with 50 Cent, the ongoing lawsuit, or the recent ICE takedowns of blogs. It’s a problem with his server. (now according to others, the problem may be a “level-5 take down” by Yahoo. As in, a complaint from someone to Yahoo about a copyright infringement that then resulted in a freeze. *shrug*) Either way, it should have been apparent that this was not the same as the previous ICE seizures, because going to WSHH did not redirect you to a sign from the Federal government.

Making good on his 2009 promise, 50 Cent says he had WorldStarHipHop seized as payback for copyright infringement.

On the social networking website twitter news speads that 50 apparently gets WSHH shut down, well temporarily at least. Check out his tweets and the video showing 50 calling into Angie Martinez show shouting angrily at Q the CEO of the blogging site that won BET’s best blogging site award last year.
The always-controversial 50 Cent is claiming responsibility for having the domain name WorldStarHipHop.com seized. In 2009, 50 was involved in a spat with WorldStar, after he filed a copyright infringement suit against the site, which directly competes with his own site, ThisIs50, and a number of other Hip Hop sites and blogs. During a 2009 interview with Atlanta’s DJ Greg Street, 50 said he hoped to tie WorldStar up in litigation long enough to make winning the battle irrelevant.

“I got a lawsuit against WorldStar for utilizing my likeness,” 50 Cent said. “A lot of people thought that was my site because they saw my face on the cover of an infringement with iRobot for a long time. They should really be nice to me, because I have lawyers and retainers. I pay them so much anyway that we’ll just go back and forth in court until you can’t afford a Subway sandwich.”

In the interest of full disclosure, a number of sites including HipHopDX have taken exception to WorldStarHipHop’s practice of taking videos without permission through a process called “stream ripping.” A stream ripper allows competing sites such as WorldStarHipHop to take a raw video from another sites video player and put it into their own. When the Department of Homeland Security and/or Immigrations and Customs Enforcement seize a website for copyright infringement, both offices usually place images of their logo on the site’s homepage.

At press time, there were no images to confirm that either office was involved in WorldStarHipHop being taken offline. However, 50 Cent sent out a series of messages via Twitter taking credit.

50 Cent shuts down World Star Hip Hop, promote Boo Boo TV.
50 Cent just shut down World Star Hip Hop and is now promoting a similar site, BooBooTV. 50 took to Twitter earlier this morning and gloated that he was the sole reason behind the shutdown of WSHH, a popular online video site. It turns out 50 is now promoting a similar site named Boo Boo TV which he claims is the NEW World Star Hip Hop.
I am not sure 50 Cent is the most liked person right now in the online community. The recent shutdown of World Star Hip Hop as made some waves and 50 is using the publicity well. It looks like he is promoting a new WSHH like site, named BooBooTV. I’m not sure what in the hell to think of all this but I am sure we have not heard the last of World Star Hip Hop. You can check out the full story on the 50 Cent WSHH shutdown.

World Star Hip Hop shutdown and 50 Cent claims to be the reason behind it.
I just put up a story on the shutdown of World Star Hip Hop and I have received some more information. It has been reported that Homeland Security seized World Star Hip Hop for copyright infringement. It has now come out that Homeland Security had nothing to do with the shut down. The culprit who is gloating that he is responsible for the shutdown is rapper 50 Cent. Moments after WorldStarHipHop.com was shut down, 50 took to Twitter.
Here is what 50 Cent tweeted in reference to the World Star Hip Hop shutdown:
“I don’t know why people underestimate me. I just shut down WORLDSTAR for future advertising contact thisis50.com suckers lol. “I put worldstar to bed, you don’t believe try me I will shut your sh*t down. Lol.”
Well there you have it… World Star Hip Hop was shut down by 50 Cent…direct all of your hate towards him. By the way, 50 also claims that two more web site will be shutting down this week as well…dun dun dun.

50 Cent Calls Up Angie Martinez - Screams on Q (WORLDSTARHIPHOP CEO)

Angie Martinez on Hot 97 delivers an exclusive interview with 50 Cent and Q from World Star Hip Hop.
World Star Hip Hop has not been shut down by 50 Cent. Angie Martinez of Hot 97 just had both 50 and Q from WSHH on air. In the 50 portion of the radio interview, he does not say that he in fact shut down the website. He does mention that there have been ongoing legal battles which stem from worldstarhiphop using his image to promote. Q, who represents WSHH came on the air shortly after 50, to clear things up.
Q claims that 50 Cent did not shut down World Star Hip Hop. He says that Homeland Security didn’t either… they are just experiencing technical difficulties with their hosting. I don’t know what to believe at this point as 50 claims he “might” be the reason for the shut down. Q says that WorldStarHipHop will be back online probably within 24 hours.
Listen to both interviews in which Angie Martinez from Hot 97 talks to 50 Cent and Q (World Star Hip Hop).

Q (World Star Hip Hop) Speaks on Site Shutting Down and 50 Cent

WSHH : Shutdown and Busted By FEDS!

World Star Hip Hop busted by the FEDS and shut down.
World Star Hip Hop has been busted by the FEDS and shut down as news spreads via Twitter. I am going to be perfectly honest, I have no idea what in the hell this site even is but it looks like some sort of online video site. It looks like both WSHH and OnSmash have been seized by Homeland Security for copyright infringement.
As more information becomes available on the World Star Hip Hop site shut down I will report on it. It looks like it will be coming back just under a different name.
Story developing…
