J. Cole fans will have to wait a little longer to get their hands on his sophomore album Born Sinner. The Roc Nation rapper has delayed the project.


While hosting a New Year’s Eve gig at TAO Las Vegas, Cole revealed that the follow-up to his 2011 debut Cole World: The Sideline Story won’t arrive on his 28th birthday, as previously announced.

“It’s not gonna make January 28. It’s gonna be a little later than that. I needed more time,” he told PopStop TV.

The first single, “Miss America,” was released in November.

Rick Ross brought in the new year like a true boss. The Maybach Music Group chief and his crew jetted to the Bahamas for some work and play. The first stop was Nassau, where he visited Atlantis and performed to a sold-out crowd. He spent New Year’s Eve in St. Thomas, toasting to his MMG empire.

“We drinkin’, celebratin’, we havin’ fun. And we actually for the first time just enjoying this shit,” said Ross, who hinted of big things to come in 2013. “Everybody that’s rockin’ with us, I love you, I thank you. Keep doing your thing.”
