Snoop Dogg took to Facebook this afternoon to announce his twelfth studio album, Reincarnated. The album will be accompanied with a documentary, a formula Snoop is not unfamiliar with. He says it's coming soon.
Given the title, one can suspect that Snoop, born Calvin Cordozar Broadus, Jr., will take an unlikely approach to his next LP. Whether or not that means "experimental" or not, no one knows. Details are likely to emerge soon, though.

We’ve been racking our brains trying to decipher the title of Wiz Khalifa’s upcoming album O.N.I.F.C., and whatever terrible meaning we came up with (Outrageous Names Inspire Fabulous Choices? Only Nougat In Fun-size Crunch bars? ) was nowhere near what the acronym actually stands for. “It’s the Only N-Word in First Class,” Wiz explained during his appearance on “Sway in the Morning” on Shade 45. “It’s inspired by [Mobb Deep's] Prodigy’s H.N.I.C. When he dropped that, I felt like that sounded so strong.”
H.N.I.C. stands for “Head N**** In Charge,” for those wondering. If Wiz has any fans who don’t want to buy an album that references the N-Word, there’s a clean version of the LP as well, with an equally clean title: One Night in First Class.
“I was just talking about me being a young rich dude and being black,” the MC said of his time spent traveling in airports. “It looks crazy to [airline staff] when I walk up to them and show them my ticket or I’m going in priority seating, They’re like ‘You’re sure?’”
It’s an interesting choice of title, symbolizing both the good side (the ability to fly first class) and the bad side (being racially stereotyped) of fame. “It’s a good feeling and then it’s like a bad feeling because it’s like, ‘Damn, why do you feel like that about me?’”
There’s no set release date for Wiz’s sophomore LP, which includes production by Pharrell and cameos by Chris Brown and Adam Levine.

Iggy Azalea made quite a splash with her fall 2011 mixtape, Ignorant Art — not to mention the risqué videos that accompanied it — and now the Australia-born rapper will spend the month of February recording her debut album, set to be released through Interscope Records in June. While she hasn't locked down a production team, Azalea tells MTV News that T.I. will serve as executive producer for the album, currently titled The New Classic.
"T.I.'s gonna be helping me with it, kind of A&R-ing, kind of executive producing," Azalea said. "He called me up like, 'Please?' and I was like, 'Definitely. You're Tip; I love you — of course.' So he's gonna be helping me out, just reaching out to people and helping me find production and pointing me in the direction of things that I might like."
This will be Azalea's first time working with the Atlanta rapper and Grand Hustle Records CEO, and she's certainly looking forward to it. "Hopefully, that will be really dynamic and it'll help speed things along.

Chris Brown was back in action, shooting a video for his club anthem “Turn Up the Music” on Wednesday (Feb. 1) in Los Angeles. The R&B superstar performed double duty, co-directing and starring in the dance-heavy clip, which he called his best video yet.
“I’ll let you guys judge but this Turn Up the music video hands down is probably my best video by far!!!” he told Team Breezy.
Several photos from the shoot surfaced online. Breezy was photographed in the passenger seat of a classic car in one scene, standing shirtless on top of a vehicle with his hipster crew in another. Dancers covered their faces with wild masks and hip-hop trio The Rej3ctz made a cameo before the shoot wrapped around 4 a.m. on Thursday.
The electro-dance record, written and produced by The Underdogs and Fuego, serves as the second single from Chris’ fifth album Fortune, due this spring.

This isn’t entirely surprising since the guys all grew up around each other and frequently collaborate together, but it certainly is good news for the Inland Empire rap group. Audio Push will be one of the first acts signed to Hit-Boy’s ‘Hit’s Since 87 Inc’ label, and i’m sure HB is gonna give them some heaters for their debut album!
2012 is starting to be a great year for independent artists! West Coast Takin Over this year!
UPDATE: The LA Leakers got video of Audio Push announcing their new deal Power 106 yesterday. They also mention that they have a new mixtape on the way called ‘To Be Honest’ dropping March 2nd.
